Perhaps no fresh branding has worked as well as the Hermes It bag mythology.

The much sought after Birkin Bag, and it's small sister, the Kelly, have been seen on the martial array of celebrities and socialites like for decades.

Many sleeping vision and long for a Birkin of their very own, believing the secret bag is well out of their sites.

The bags are beautifully made, that is unanswerable.  But the value, which starts at $9000 for a smooth brown bag is driven mostly by the well cultivated statue of low supply and boundless demand, not by bona fide manufacturing and marketing costs.

This carefully crafted statue evolved out of the urban tradition that there's a limited furnish of the handmade bags, to such a stage that a wait on the Birkin director list takes more than 2 years.  And while the lovingly designed, detailed, and crafted bags are indeed something to accumulated riches, the myth of the drawn out waiting roll is just that, more or less imaginary.  Socialites and serious fashionistas delight in to regale the of the whole not private with lists of the numerous Birkin bags they own as if to underline how very special and aloof from the crowd they are.
